Celebrating 25 Years!
As the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation (GRHF) celebrates 25 years, they are excited to begin sharing stories of those who have been instrumental in leading the Foundation to where it is today. One of those stories include our Founding Principal, Rick Vogel.
Rick is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation.
Rick’s interest in rehabilitative care is deeply personal…
His interest in rehabilitative care is deeply personal as he was born with a congenital issue in his left leg. When he was young he had multiple surgeries to correct it. As a child, there was no pediatric rehabilitation available. He learnt to walk in the Rehab Room at the University. He didn’t have the benefit of the techniques, skills and facility that the Glenrose now offers.
When he walks the hallways of the Glenrose and sees children in leg braces and walkers it takes him right back to his own childhood.
A big part of why he volunteers as Board Chair is to continue to advance rehabilitative care, especially for children. Rick believes in the Foundation’s decades of history and is so excited about what the next year will bring.
