Bullock Law is expanding and requires an Associate Lawyer to join their firm. The firm takes pride in servicing the thriving communities of Brooks, Taber, and surrounding areas including some work in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. As their newest Associate Lawyer, you would work out of their Brooks office, the “City of 100 Hellos” – a proud, culturally diverse community where people live, play, work, and stay.

Their primary focus is to further build the practice and include more solicitor-based services to meet the needs of their clients.

The incumbent will have a well-trained support staff and senior lawyer available so they can focus on developing a book of business to build their own thriving law practice. With the mentorship and administrative support, the Associate Lawyer will be set up for success so they can elevate their career goals and eventually become a Partner with the firm.

As their new Associate Lawyer (solicitor-based) you will be ready with the following:

• A Law degree from an accredited Canadian law school or equivalent and a member in good standing with a provincial law society.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of solicitor experience in the areas of commercial/corporate law, wills and estates, real estate/conveyancing, contracts, family law, criminal law and civil litigation.
• Diligence with staying organized, managing your time effectively and keeping on track with upcoming deadlines to continuously manage your client base and manage multiple projects. This will be imperative to be successful in this position.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills with the ability to provide full cycle legal service to clients.
