The screen media sector encompasses a range of industries, including video game development, mobile app development, film and television production, and the creation of augmented and virtual reality experiences.

The goal of the fund is to help the city’s screen media industries grow as a vibrant and healthy economic sector that retains and attracts skilled workers, offers students careers and distinguishes Edmonton as a centre of excellence.

Rick Vogel has graciously accepted the invitation to be one of the mentors for the 2018 interVivos Mentorship Program. Bringing together young professionals with Edmonton’s business and community leaders since 2006, interVivos sets the platform for developing relationships and fostering inspiration.

Rick has been very fortunate to have had several mentors who have helped him achieve success in both his professional and personal life. As said by Rick, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to pay it forward… I couldn’t be more excited!” 

The Fall 2018 Mentorship Program kick-off will be held on Wednesday, November 28th, bringing an outstanding pool of mentors (a complete list of mentors can be found here). Fifteen mentors will be introduced to 15 proteges, discussing their goals and expectations for the program in fifteen 5-minute conversations. Once paired, mentors and proteges will have an opportunity to continue to meet and cultivate their relationships over the six-month program.

Rick is looking forward to the event and meeting the proteges next week.
