CRDHA Registrar & CEO

The College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta (“CRDHA”) is the professional regulatory body for Alberta’s 3200+ Registered Dental Hygienists. The College’s primary mandate is to protect the public by ensuring that new and renewing registrants have the knowledge, skills, attitude and judgment to provide safe and competent oral health services to the public. They also promote excellence in practice, education and research, and provide professional development opportunities to registrants.
Reporting to Council, the Registrar & Chief Executive Officer (“Registrar/CEO”) has the delegated authority to manage all the regulatory and administrative functions of the CRDHA.
As a strong candidate for this position you thrive in a regulatory environment and believe in the power of collaboration, excellent communication and accountability. In addition, you:
- hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as health administration, leadership, public policy, adult education or business administration. A Master’s degree in a relevant field or a diploma/degree in dental hygiene would be considered an asset
- have a successful track record as a senior leader within a similar, regulatory organization; is experienced in the nuances of legislation and regulatory policies and understands that public protection is foremost
have demonstrated success in working with Council members/board members and committees
have a proven track record of building positive, effective relationships with employees as well as external stakeholders
